When feeling good turns into feeling superior, and power disguises itself as faith, the fire that warms us becomes the fire that destroys us. Christians are invited to name that fire—and allow faith to transform it into a flame that gives light to others.

If a social movement divides, excludes, and wraps the cross in flags, can it truly be called “Christian”? What if one of the demons Jesus is still casting out today is called “Christian nationalism”? Perhaps facing, naming, and overcoming such a Legion requires followers of Jesus to step up—with courage, compassion, and truth.
